Every two years collision sport athletes take a concussion baseline test. This baseline is one factor that helps your healthcare team to safely guide your return to sports after a concussion injury. Concussions are brain injuries and must be treated with utmost caution. As an adolescent, your brain is continuing to develop therefore it is especially sensitive to injury. It is imperative that you and your parents read the concussion information provided with your physicalpaperwork. Please ask your athletic trainer if you have any questions after reading the information. Parents and athletes may contact Ms. DeLucca for more information regarding concussions or to ask any and all questions. To ensure the best possible recovery, it is extremely important that you alert your coach and athletic trainer immediately if you believe you may have suffered a concussion.
If you have not taken a baseline test in the previous school year, please email Ms. DeLucca to receive a code that will enable you to take the test at home. Please make sure you are well rested and in a distraction free environment. Please give your best effort.
Thank you,
